Dhamma Sagar, Khumbu Vipassana Center

DHAMMA SAGAR VIPASSANA CENTRE (The Sky of Dhamma) धम्म सगर विपश्यना ध्यान केन्द्र is situated in LUKLA of KHUMBU region at the lap of the highest mountain peak of the world सगरमाथा SAGARMATHA – Mt. EVEREST.. This center in a meadow, in caves by beautiful forest and rivers, having an abundance of water supply where natural flowers bloom throughout the year.

Various buildings serve for residences, ranging from dormitories to single rooms, two separate dining halls for men and women and a meditation hall are being planned. The center can comfortably accomodate about 50 people. Nepali style vegetarian meals are served during courses.

Ten day courses are held at the Dhamma Sagar Vipassana Center throughout the year. However, this schedule may be changed due to the flow of participants. Courses begin in the evening of the first day and end on the morning of the 12th day.

Construction of following infrastructure are being planned for Ten day courses.

  • Meditation hall for 50 persons
  • Teacher’s residence for a teacher

A master plan has been developed for further construction of necessary infrastructures .
